5221 on attacking was more offensive than most formations on balanced in 13... and obviously better defensively :D.

I miss my 13 5221 team...

5221 is horrible with the new engine.

in this game you need to pass the ball a lot more, meaning you need more midfielders.

3 at the back is also useless against most formations, therefore 4 at the back is the only way to go.

2 strikers is always better than 1 i find, gives you more support, another option, etc, much easier to score.

therefore any formation that starts with 4 and ends in 2 is probably the best suited to this engine/game.


that's why everyone in division 1 uses 4222 and 41212

I have Hernanes and Kaka as my CAM's. COuld do with a bit more pace, but with Ramires and Gustavo as CDM's its generally a nice solid formation.

Bernard on the right and Douglas Costa on the left

both very cheap, and both are rapid.

Bernard is very weak though, but if he get's space he will beat anyone.

that was my formation throughout the whole game, it was so OP due to pace.

all you had to do was use the front 3 to attack with a fast RF and fast LF.

the CM's would play box to box, stop any long shots from happening and close the space in midfield.

back 5 was basically a brick wall, it could hold any attack.
 
Last night in Div 2 played against 3 different players in a row who were all using Benzema and Costa upfront. I couldn't cope, my defenders were falling over.

this engine seems to favour one big man and one speedy striker up top

Benteke - Kone

Costa - Benzema

Gomez - IF Milito

are my attacking options right now, there's no really fast decent striker in Serie A just tanks.

Ibarbo, Muriel, Sau, etc just feel like crap.
 
Yeah I can cope with the pacey strikers, the ones with strength though just bowl my defenders over and power through on goal.

Benteke isn't as prolific as Sturridge, I'm thinking of getting Eto'o or Suarez to replace him.

i'm thinking of just playing GTA 5 tbh, should never of bought it in the first place, only going to play fifa when im bored. not liking the OP hidden mechanics.
 
Does silva's left foot still rocket them? I'd imagine with his close control dribbling he'll be brilliant this year.

Rooney suits the game much more this year, I've seen him used quite often.
