*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

If you have already budgeted for your preorder then I see no point in cancelling due to Watchdogs delay, there will be other games to play for sure.

The real question is, do you want to misout on release day hype/chat and being involved in playing the new console from Day 1. If you can, then cancel your preorder or don't and look forward to turning on your shiny new toy in about 44 days time!

Can anyone provide an up to date list of both physical and PSN release day games? Now that Watch Dogs has been delayed, I'm stuck with just BF4 on release. Need something else!

Ive never played Killzone and disliked BF3 but BF4 graphically looks great, i think i should try the Beta before making a decision.

Yeah try the beta. If you really didn't like BF3 I doubt if 4 will change your mind. Gameplay-wise it'll be more of the same. Extra players on next gen will up the fun factor on the bigger maps but it'll still be Battlefield.

Ok so since Watch Dogs is delayed. Im going to substitute it for Either BF4 or Killzone. Ive never played Killzone and disliked BF3 but BF4 graphically looks great, i think i should try the Beta before making a decision. So im 100% getting COD and FIFA just unsure on the third game... So Killzone or BF4?

BF4 really isn't that different to BF3 so you won't like it if you didn't like BF3. I'd go for KZ. The MP is really very good(I'm speaking from playing MP on the PS3).

Thanks for the feedback also not sure if posted about watch dogs for shopto buyers :

For me its not even about the money. Its just if I do purchase a PS4 there is not one game in my mind that says I must play that. So great I can buy the console but not buy any games so I am in effect buying a £350 paperweight :p

The reason my pre-order still stands is because.... well I dunno why lol :D I feel the need to have a PS4 on release ! I can see my XO, 3DS (pokemon F T W) or heck even PS3 getting more use than "my" PS4. In my mind I also don't want to run the risk of not buying one and then "possibly" having to wait ages before I can buy one.

Its just odd how before I was decided PS4 all the way and the closer we have got to launch I have swayed more towards the XO.

Haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread, but has anyone here pre-ordered the PS4 through Tesco Direct? And if so, have you been sent any information yet? I know ASDA have sent out emails about their bundles but I haven't heard anything from Tesco yet.

Fair amount of talk going on now, high chance its true :(

Any luck they can get the PS+ edition out the door on day 1 release :fiingers crossed:

All of it has come from the same article though, apart from some dude on NeoGaf and Kotaku sticking their oar in. I will wait for official word, I hope it isn't true though!

Thinking of cancelling my pre-order now Watchdogs has been delayed. I also had Battlefield 4 on pre-order which i might get on PC instead which only leaves Killzone. Is one game really enough to to justify spend £350?

I'd say that depends on how much you like Killzone, but with the number of free games launching with the PS4 it's not like you're spending £350 on one game alone (and if you've got Playstation Plus, you'll be getting Driveclub for free at launch as well). So it might be worth looking at what's going to be free at launch to see if you'll be paying £350 to be playing more than just Killzone.

I've been having similar thoughts. I played some Octodad (on PS4) at Eurogamer a few weeks ago and that was awesome fun, but that is really just a small indie game.

If the PS4 had a game like Forza 5 then I would be tempted (I played Forza 5 and Driveclub and Forza won hands down, even going as far as having the dashboard reflection in the front windscreen!)

However, closer to the time, when everyone is hyped, I will probably get more in the 'mood' and just buy it anyway :)

If I hadn't already cancelled mine for various other reasons, I think I'd be seriously considering it now. BF4 will likely be great but if it's anything like BF3, there'll be issues to start with that will spoil the experience somewhat and the lack of another game to play when frustration sets in would be annoying.

I can see that, I won't be getting mine to christmas, but I will have COD:Ghosts, BF4, NFS and Fifa all to upgrade. Hopefully Drive Club won't be pushed back, plus the multitude of F2P titles available at launch will be enough to keep my going to inFamous.
