the biggest gain from decoking inside the cylinders is getting carbon out of the piston rings so they can seal properly again. thats why cars can feel faster afterwards.

How would you ever quantify a 1% improvement? Day to economy can vary by more just due to prevailing wind conditions, weather, minor traffic variations, etc.

Spending£110 £132 on fresh plugs, leads, engine oil, fuel/air/oil filters, a can of carb cleaner to clean the inlet, and a bottle of redex if you're really desperate, is guaranteed to yield more of an improvement than this.
