I have got 300 to spend on an upgrade for my PC.

The current specs are:
4670K at 4.4
MSI GTX760

I was wondering if the best use of my money would be to get a 4770k or to get a Sapphire R9 280x Toxic?

I only play single monitor 1080p and will be sticking to this resolution for the forseeable future.

Any and all advice is great, thanks.

Also, if you think getting a new graphics card is best, I'm willing to listen to other ideas than the 280x if it's around the 300 mark :)

If you play games it will make the action seem smoother as its refreshing at twice the speed. Good in FPS and driving games.

Ok thanks for the idea :)

Would other people agree with this? Or should I go for a CPU or GPU upgrade instead?

I play games like Battlefield, Hitman, Tomb Raider, Crysis 1/2/3, LoL, Dead Space, Skyrim etc.

So which will get the the best performance increase for games that are already ouit, and games that will be coming out soon.

There's no need for a CPU upgrade, the 4670k is relatively new, itl just be a waste of money. You can go for another 760?

Ok guys thanks for the replies. Sounds like I should just keep my money and save it for when an upgrade is actually needed, rather than wasting it on something now when my machine isn't struggling at all.

watercooling!!! he he I did this on my last rig when I hard and itchy wallet and it kept me entertained for weeks and I spent ages overclocking my Q6600 back then. Makes the computer look super cool too lol

If it aint broke, don't fix it :)

£300 is a lot... enough to spend for a decent CPU loop. Just food for thought. *muwahahaha the seed of watercooling has been planted*
