Looking to build a gaming computer that will handle BF4 at around 60fps @ 1080p res.

PS I already have OS, hdd, keyboard etc.

Is there any hope with this build?

The PSU is horrid, you can get a better case if you spend the same money as that case+fan costs together.

Aaah Stulid! You improved my last build haha! Thanks again for your input :)

Yeah I was wondering about the PSU..

I am liking this setup.

Is there much performance gain to be had overclocking the K chip?

Seems the included cooler with mobo is a nice one.

So with a potential 170 extra would you got intel with the cpu/mobo OR buy a better graphics cards.

I'm happy with 1080p res, just want at least 40 - 60 fps.

Or you stick with the AMD bits and get the best GFX card you can afford,

I've had a quick look and it should fit in the case.

Pardon my ignorance, Would the 6300 potentially bottleneck the 7970?

Yes!! definitely get the chip overclocked, the board is capable of doing 4.6Ghz if the chip can do it and you can keep temps under control.

AMDs "new" GPUs aren't really new at all it's more of a rebranding. The 270X is essentially the 7870LE, these GPUs OC'd could trade blows with stock 7950s so that's awesome bang for buck. In turn the 280X is the 7970 so check prices between the two.

So far I'm liking Stulids spec in post #7

I've not used the NZXT but I have a lot of experience with the Z9 chassis. The Z9 (maybe the NZXT too) has very little room behind the mobo tray for cable management, it's a common problem with budget cases. Something like the Corsair CX500M would make life much easier on you, the Antec is a better PSU but it's not modular.

Best of luck with the build :)

wow, very in-depth review. Nicely done.

Seems pretty easy to overclock with easytune!

Very easy, or there are some preset options in the BIOS also.

The Vcore it uses is a little high when compared to setting the overclock yourself and seeing what is needed to be stable. It is the Vcore that makes the CPU hot so if you can do it yourself then it will help.
