Nissan Juke...anyone with kids have one??

I wouldn't bother, the girlfriend has a 3door and it's the same problem as your 500, the frame buggy goes in with taking the wheels off, everything else goes on the back seat or we fold a seat down, unless of course the 5 door has a bigger boot?

Thanks for that! I guess A3 size is minimum then!

My mother has a Nissan Juke and it is an absolute pain to go anywhere with the kid in it. Her previous car, a Mini, was more practical.

Afterdoing some more research it seems this car is useless!

We are looking at buying iCandy Peach buggy, and the cot part does not fold down so will more than likely be too big for the car!

Me and the wife have an iCandy Peach and one of her friends once gave her a lift in a Juke. Apparently the Peach fit in the boot but it was a squeeze and very much impractical. If you want extra boot space for baby related things, the Juke isn't the car to buy.

I don't get why people buy them.

What are they actually for? They're small cars that are bulky and look horrific, seems to be a very pointless car.

Agree entirely with you on that one buddy.

They look like a foot.

Just thought I would put this to bed as I appreciated everyones feedback, we went looking to compare the cars at weekend...the Juke really did not offer any benefit over the Fiat 500, however we did get this:

Nissan Qashqai 1.5 DCI N-Tec+
2wd Version
8,500 miles on clock
Sat Nav
Blue Tooth
360 surround cameras
Cruise Control
Manual
18" Diamond Cut Wheels

To say I was a bit sceptical with the engine choice after taking it for a test drive I was pleasantly suprised. It has enough grunt to make the drive quite enjoyable, and didnt seem to struggle at all, it ticked all the boxes anyway coming from the Fiat 500. More space, still economical, tax not bad (£105 per year) - this was not a selling point!

We have 4 years Nissan warranty on this, 2 years with Nissan dealership but mirrors exactly what the manufacturer offers (no third party) & 2 years service pack (Oct 2014 & Oct 2015).

What did amaze me was how they sell cars now...mpg, tax, how many miles you can do from a tank...they even wanted to do a comparison against the 500 until I told them none of this bothered us because it was a second car. What makes me laugh is they sell people based on these figures but they fail to tell them tyre costs on the 18" wheels they come with!

Anyway on to the few pics I got:

I bought my wife a Nissan Qashqai 1.5 DCI N-Tec about 4 months ago and she loves it, we use it as our main car as I have a Mini.

We also have 2 children and use the maxicosi iso fix base for my son's baby chair. My 3 year old daughter has a maxicosi chair which is quite big, it reminds me of an ejector seat :D It fits both these in the back no problem, as for boot space we can get all our shopping in with the pram in.

They also do a +2 version with a bigger boot, have you looked at that?

Yeah we have the isofix family base for the car seat, along with the change of car it should be a breeze. I think my A4 will now be relegated to the 2nd car I just use to get to and from work. I really was impressed with the way this drove and as the A4 is a saloon this is perfect for tip runs and dog walks!

Looks like a decent choice for kid ferrying. Really not my kind of car but they're very good at what they do

Yeah ticks every single box for what we were after, as above the A4 will now just be used to get me to and from work as I was really happy with the car. It was never bought as a car to hoon about and it doesn't pretend to be anything like that. I really don't think there was any other car that would have ticked everything we were after in a car.

Probably want to wipe the plate numbers out from the photo's you took.

Yeah will get round to doing that when I get in from work tonight! Saying that it is on show for everyone to see on the road!

Qashqai is what I am hoping to get in the states once we are settled financially :-) Very nice motors :-)

Didn't know they did a bigger boot version... that'll be great for the dogs :-D

Yeah was impressed by it all to be honest. Looked at Kia & Ford alternatives but for options and drive ability I preferred the Nissan.
