Did you clean the hobs hard enough?
Anyone else currently house sharing? If so how do you find it?
Just had my flat mate have a go at me because apparently I never cleaned the hobs hard enough after using them. Petty things like this grind my gears.
Does S/He end up routinely cleaning up your mess? Do you ever have to clean up after Him/Her?
Do you have the answer to your question?
(Personally I would sooner sleep in a storm drain than consider a house share, but then that's just me!)
If it's yellow let it mellow
If it's brown wash it down
This is why i was glad to see the end to house sharing. It can be fun and if you have no friends like me it can be good to meet new people. But the biggest issues for me was the bathroom never being empty when i needed it and the kitchen never being free when i needed it. Having to wait for someone to finish cooking or have to clean their dishes, its terrible. The last thing i want to do after ive just finished eating is go and scrub a pan for the next guy.
Also people have different levels of what clean is. I clean my hob like once every few months because it does not bother me enough and its always going to get dirty. But i do like clean counter tops. But the dishes i can leave for a few days and its not the end of the world. But house sharing people are either not clean enough or they are unreasonably clean. The worst is when cleaning gets political, like you moan about them not cleaning something for example like not cleaning the frying pan. Then they start going on to you about something you do. Its stupid.
So clean I could see my reflection.
Clean the hob every time you cook and dishes washed the same day, definitely not 'unreasonably clean'
Every time? why that is just not necessary, I have better things to do. Dishes left over night, you know what i found out, nothing happens. Ive left dishes for a few days before, even some things for longer. nothing happens within that short amount of time. No mold, no smell, nothing. Most of the time I wash the dishes because I need to use them. I only have 2 of everything so that it does not allow for dishes to build up. ie i don't have 10 plates sitting there. Just two.
