Looking for a new series to watch ive gone through Game of thrones, Walking dead and sopranos up to now and noticed broadwalk empire(never even heard of it before and its been out 3 years:eek: isit worth a watch?

thanks

It's one of the best series to cross the Atlantic for many a moon. You will not be disappointed by it.

Yes but for me it was a bit like breaking bad and the wire, in the sense that i had to really force myself into watching the first 4-5 episodes but after that i was hooked. It has top drawer names behind the scenes so i expected nothing less.

It really is amazing, can't wait for the new season. Plus I love the fact the Al Capone is a Scouser :D:D:D that and Omar is still gangstering it up :D

I tried it but didn't like it, because everyone seemed so morally corrupt. I couldn't get into it when there wasn't really anyone I could identify with. YMMV.

I watched the first series and thought it was ok. I just didn't feel compelled to watch the second series for some reason. I might go back to it one day but I suspect it will take a while. There are lots of good series out there to watch first.:D

Yes it's very good. I was late to it as well and downloaded the first 3 seasons on demand.

I'm now up to date and ready for S4 :D

I think in that sense, it's a great portrayal of Prohibition-era America, especially with the people involved.

Holy thread revival batman!! But I couldn't not comment.... I finished this yesterday up to season 5 and it has to be the best peice of TV I've watched in a long while. Well worth the watch if anyone's considering it.

Very slow burner but for some reason I kept going back to it in stints. Got better towards the end of the last two seasons.

You never have dreams of having complete control over an empire, ruling it from your ivory towers?

As everyone here said yeah it is definitely worth a watch. Slow paced but decent characters pull you in. If you are stuck I would also recommend watching Mad Men which is another top quality show :)
