Total of £1740pm.

However, that is the household. There are 5 of us in the household all of working age, me, mum, brother, brothers girlfriend and a lodger, whose an old friend. May sound a lot, but we all get on great.

So that is divided by 5, which brings my monthly, plus my mobile and car costs to a total of £498.

I thought it was a lot, but judging by some on here, I'm getting away quite lightly by the looks of it.

TV/Broadband £33 full sky with hd + unlimited 20mb free evening/weekend
Leccy £45
Water £22
Gas £56
Council tax £61
Wifes phone £45

My bills are fairly average, no water rates here and we pay rates instead of council tax.

Highest bill is heating oil at around £100 per month, during a harsh winter as much as £200 per month but that's mostly due to the age of the current boiler which is being replaced with a spangly new steam condenser next week.

Rent/Bills £745 a month (£550 rent, the rest paying insurance, council tax, gas & elec and £40 extra to cover later on winter fuel bills)
Debts at least £250 a month paid off
Virgin Media 60mb £13.75 a month
Car Insurance £55.32 a month
GiffGaff £12 a month
Petrol £80 a month
Netflix £6 a month

Everything else gets spunked on food, fags and booze

Gas & Electric £200
TV/Broadband £100
Water £42
Council tax £110

Mobile phone £120
Sex £120
Car Insurance £20
Bike Insurance 1 £26
Bike Insurance 2 £15
Caravan Insurance £14
House Insurance £11

Total £778

Not that much really - as in it's affordable.

Don't smoke, or have sky tv, I don't really drink, and the flat is well insulated so the heating is seldom on, even in winter. Everything is split in 2, and anything that we can pay upfront for we pay in one lump sum to get it paid and done.

Apart from council tax, mortgage and line rental, everything else is under £50 a month.
