What he meant was you should have said the card was dead before you bought it. Every one thought you meant it had been tried and was working in another machine

where do u live, perhaps someone can verify it is goosed in another machine before you go down that route.
1st place I would look is the manufactors website and see if you can get on the blower to them. A bit of blagging may get results.

But yeah maybe speak to the previous owner to check out what warranty if any the card has.
Ahh so it was faulty when he sold/gave it to you ?
I actually picked the card up for 25 euro from ebay so i said it was worth a shot..
Take the shroud off and bung it in the oven.
Does that kind of stuff actually work, could i pay to have it fixed or would it cost too much..
I filled out a warranty form from amd and i'm awaiting a reply..
