2D girls are better than lousy 3D ones

I quite like the Studio Ghibli films e.g. Howl's Moving Castle, but that's about as far as I go. I've never been into that Dragon Ball Z stuff.

Missing out on some awesome anime, im not into the anime girls or any weird stuff. But there is some amazing anime that puts what are culture produces to shame.

I like a lot of animation to be fair - some Pixar stuff, Dreamworks, Disney, but I am open to suggestions! :D Keep it family safe though please (up to PG rating), considering that Tangled and Lilo & Stitch are both PG...!

I think I singled out Dragon Ball Z mainly because it's in a lot of memes and I try and avoid franchises that get over-hyped, like with the new My Little Pony.

In a way, one could see this as a good thing. With a population of 120 million people practically living in each other's pockets, a decline in population would ease that a bit.

Why does this anime stuff look like the 90s? I never understood it then, nor do I now. It seemed.... weird.

Im ignoring the PG rating, but below is a list with no weird perverted stuff that I think your worried about, infact I don't know any myself:p
But anyway pick any of these and enjoy:

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (series that got me into anime last year)
Samurai Champloo (samurai violence and two very cool main characters)
Afro Samuria (Samuel L Jackson voiced and lots of bloody violence)
Claymore (similar to the witcher games)
DeathNote (teen finds book, and writes peoples names in it and they die)

Anything Studio Ghibli
Ghost in the Shell is more adult but not perverted, more like an animated James Cameron movie.
The Girl Who leapt through time and Summer Wars are both excellent as well.
Cowboy Bebop is simply amazing but getting old (the movie looks even better)
