*1 For details on which 100 players are displayed, see below.
Which 100 players are displayed?

1. If you have sent or received Friend requests that haven't been approved yet, up to 10 of the most recent recipients and 10 of the most recent senders are displayed.

2. Your Friends are displayed.

If the sum of players from point (1) and your currently online Friends is more than 100, your currently online Friends are displayed by online ID in alphabetical order until the limit of 100 players is reached.
If the sum of players from point (1) and your currently online Friends is less than 100, your currently offline Friends are also displayed by online ID in alphabetical order until the limit of 100 players is reached.

3. If the sum of players from point (1) and all of your Friends from point (2) is less than 100, any remaining recipients of your Friend requests are displayed, followed by any remaining players who sent Friend requests to you, until the limit of 100 players is reached.

You must sign out of PSN℠ and then sign in again to update the players who are displayed. When doing this, also sign out of all other devices that you are signed in to PSN℠ on.

Just to rub it in new Drive club video from latest build, its only a few seconds long but shows more cars on track and some nice lighting.
Looks nice :(

The console needs to be connected to the internet once upon first power up to receive an update to enable additional features that were not in the build before manufacturing started..

In this day and age, its to be expected. however the console will not need to 'dial home' as it were every 24 hours as was to be expected with the first revision of the xbone 1.

A 300MB patch to the O/S FW is IMO fine. I receive patches and updates every day for my PC if only for Steam, Windows 7 or some other bit of software or driver on my machine..

I would think a large percentage of users buying a PS4 will have some form or internet, even if they need to hotspot or tether to a 3G connection..

Agreed, just hoping that the servers don't have 'Day 1' issues.

Hopefully the Americans will beta test that for us ;)

PS4 pad works on the ps3 but doesn't work so well with Fifa. :(

http://www.nowgamer.com/news/2128551/ps4_controller_works_with_ps3.html

I was going to buy one to use for Fifa for now.

Surprised it works on Ps3 at all TBH, even heard the pad could work on PC and MAC, however if the pad some how manages to get xinput support which I'd be amazed then I could end up ditching my 360 pad over on the PC.

From all accounts the DS4 pad is a huge improvement over the DS3 and a very good pad in general.

PS4 pad does work on the PC but isn't supported. You have to spend a lot of time getting it to work. Too much hassle when you could just use the xbox pad.

Is this PS4 pad being released early? You can buy it in stores now in America.

Sony Announced it would be officially supported on PC already.

I don't like the idea of that at all. I'd rather just be able to install the entire disc whilst I make a cuppa and leave it there until I choose to delete it. It seems as time is going on now that the Xbone is doing things right with the system itself but not so good with the games and PS4 vice versa.

I don't see how?

If you choose to do a full install (optional) then you will put the entire 50GB take a few GB onto the hdd (so 39GB now for KZ:SF?), otherwise while reading from the disc it'd cache data onto the HDD for faster reading later on? And clear up when it doesn't need it? That's how I am understanding it.
