Just got an iphone 4s last week (not new), working fine all along but yesterday playing up with no services and same today.
Times its OK. 2 other iphones in the house with o2 as well and no bother with them. Took sim out and in again and working not as bad but wondering is it the phone?
Any ideas and thanks.

Where did you get it from? It could be that the IMEI has been blocked.:(:(

Thanks, I got it from smartphone store.
It had been working since I got it but just lately services would drop then come on again.
It has been working tonight, well, most of the time.

Radio might have issues, it recently happened to my friends iPhone 4s too, so it could be hardware. If you havn't already try put in any other o2 sim in when it does drop and see if that works, to rule out the sim card being an issue. If not I would look to get it checked/replace, maybe you could tell smartphone store so they can take a look at it?

OK, thanks for the advice

Just an update:

When I removed the protective back cover on the phone I notice the back of the phone was very warm.
When the phone cooled down it seamed to help with the no services problem.

Could this be the case do you think?

I wouldn't think heat would be the issue, just guessing here but it should be able to stand some heat. It could be the back cover that caused some issues maybe, but again doesn't sound very logically too me.

Can you try with another sim or is the one you have new? Seen odd problems with old sims before

Hi, the sim was working 100% for 2/3 yrs and working in this new iPhone I just got for 4/5 days then i got the no services bother.
So happens, I just put on a new protective back on the phone and thought nothing of it.
I noticed the phone was getting to warm so took the protective back off and the problem looks as if it has gone away. Strange.

Thanks
