Baby girl names

If our baby had been a girl it would likely have been named Emily Rebecca.
Anyway in terms of general approach for baby names ours was this:

-General throwing around of possible names and shortlisting the ones we both liked
-Flicking through a baby names book and choosing ones we both liked that were neither too 'rough' nor 'exotic'
-Slight bias towards sentimental initials (i.e. to give our child the same initials as a deceased relative)
-In the end a couple of weeks before birth settled on one, which was one of the more recent selections.

The good news is we settled in to using our son's name immediately he was born, and it felt completely natural despite not having been on the radar that long.

One slightly unexpected thing for me is we use an abbreviated version of his name much more than I thought we would. I'd always thought that would be something his schoolfriends would do, but not us!

A friends daughter has really curly blonde hair, her names Fearne but she's been called Noodles since she was about 6 months old, even her teacher calls her Noodles :D

The boyfriend of a friend of mine genuinely suggest Lexi or Roxy for their baby if it was a girl. Unless you are quite sure your child will end up in the gentleman's entertainment industry, I would not recommend those names.
