Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

yes I'm genuinely surprised - in a positive way

I'll still get that GPU upgrade - but I'm impressed how well this 570 is doing (it is at 950/2280 though)

enjoying this more than BF3 so far

it keeps crashing my PC, in campaign and online.

locks up my whole PC so i have to restart it :(

anyone know when it will be fixed?

Is this anything at all like BF3? With the silly browser plug-ins to join games and that? Messy mini maps? Origin?

Tried the BF4 Demo on the Xbox and it was awful. Bought BF3 on release day for my laptop and hated it after just a few hours of play and never touched it since.

Saying that, BF2 is the best FPS game i have ever played and i put 100's of hours into it.

Soooooo this has probably been asked 1000000 times already but whats the cheapest place to get this atm?

Simplecdkeys. Bought the whole lot for £54.99. Set for 2 more years on the battlefield...and my 680 sli seems to be a dream still at 1080p 120hz.

Dice have done good :-)

It's a shame you didn't give it more than a few hours, but if you didn't like BF3, then don't bother with BF4.

The browser plugin is a small download and takes minimal time to install. Personally, I think Battlelog, and the way you connect to games through it is brilliant. I love it.

Do you have v sync enabled? I get 90fps with it off and 40 with it being a janky mess with it on.

I don't use vsync mate I've never found any game smoother with it on! Currently I am running bf4 at 5884x1080 all ultra settings no msaa but high fxaa, game looks brilliant and plays smooth for a bit but then goes not so smooth, I am sure drivers and patches will sort all this rubbish out.

When actually watching my fps it is excellent and my gpu usage is nice and even.

Battlelog gets so much hate, I much prefer being able to look at servers through my browser and check stats etc, without having to start the game.

Too much was going off for me.

I am not great with 'change' and coming from BF2 i was very disappointed with it. Moved to COD and got hooked though it was nothing like BF2, nothing ever changes either when they bring another 1 out which might explain why i am still playing cod :p

Been playing for 4 hours+ with no issues.

No crashing, No noticeable issues other than battlelog has no refresh button for favourites tab.

People who are crashing make sure your drivers are updated aswell as DirectX & try stock rather than your overclock maybe?

Running Fine on
3770k @ 4.6
16GB ram
7970 Ghz edition

Same here, or I just browse other sites when I'm waiting, and when it's ready it automatically goes full screen. I love it.

also its much faster than game based browsers using c# or c++

Good point regarding overclock - I've had three BSOD whilst on BF4 which is very unusual. Put it back down to stock now so will see what happens.

Anyone else getting RAM problems when playing? When it happens my RAM gets full, the game lags and freezes. When closing the game something is still using 5GB of my ram

The server did crash once, as was noted that everyone on CQ247 logged out :p. Either that or it was an update ;)

Other than that, no crashing and completely smooth!
