I didn't order from Game, because last time I ordered a game it took forever to get it. And i've heard others ordering for release day and not getting it on release day. I also refused to pay 4 or 5 quid for an extra map.

I have an Amazon Prime subscription so it made sense for me to buy it through Amazon. I had no idea about the pre-order incentives until I read the last page of this thread. Then again even if I was aware that GAME were giving away the "free" map exclusively I probably wouldn't have bothered changing my order, especially considering GAME are selling it at £5 more than Amazon, with no guarantee it'll even get here on release day.

I've had great customer service from Amazon time and again, my deliveries are on time or early virtually every time I've bought from them, including Super Saver delivery and they're usually competitive with their pricing too.

Haha! I've only been to one midnight launch before and I was scared of being stabbed upon leaving the supermarket. Plus I had to listen to two guys behind me in the queue having the most socially awkward "gamer" convo I've ever witnessed.

Never again.
 
I think your crazy queuing up for it. Why not just wait till the morning and get it off the shelf?

Do you have to que outside in the freezing cold?

I would send their customer service department a message tomorrow if you still haven't received it. I only pre-ordered earlier today and I got it along with my dispatch mail immediately after placing my order. :)

Any idea what the patch is all about? There are three codes in the email, one for the female scuba outfit, one for the male and another code which is supposed to be for a patch. I won't be getting the game until tomorrow sometime so I haven't tried redeeming the code yet.
 
Plays more like MW2/3 than BO, not sure about the maps as everything is very brown and picking out players is quite difficult for an old fart like me. So far it's basically more of the same, no doubt I'll rack up some hours on it and will enjoy a reasonable amount of them (when I don't want to put my controller through the screen).

Bring on Titanfall but until then this will fill a gap :)

The more I play it the less I like it, most of the maps have so many alleys/corners that being shot in the back is very common. Combined with the murky graphics and it really really needs you to play with friends in a team as solo is pretty irritating.

Will chuck a bit more time into it and try the campaign out but I reckon I'll sell it on before my XB1/PS4 come along. To be honest it's almost a relief I don't like it as I'll have time for some other games whereas I usually just end up playing COD at the expense of better games.

One comment I would make is that if this was your first COD then you'd be very confused as there is little to no explanation of any of the multiplayer features. They've thrown a lot in there but it's actually a bit of a mess trying to understand it all.
 
Finally a COD game is getting the mediocre scores it deserves, Polygon review just leaked: 6.5

I really hope this gets lots of bad reviews and people finally realise that COD has been crap for years. This should hopefully kick them into gear for the next game.

I want COD2/ COD4 days back :(
