Some mornings, a group of school kids would ring my doorbell en route to school then run away at lightning speed.

I know who they are, as I have some CCTV images of them running away from my door.

What should or could I do about them?

You seem angry about it.

Do you go outside & shout at them?, as doing this is why they keep coming back.

Hide behind the fence until they came back, then grab hold of the one that presses the bell and pull out a large axe and threaten to chop off the finger he used to press the door bell?

I used to do this as a kid :D

I would personally set a booby trap for them ! that will show em :p

Tie a couple of paint cans to a rope from the roof pointing to the door, (home alone style). Get it to trigger when the door bell is pressed. The paint hits them, Knocks them out/ kills them. Either way, dead or alive, bury bodies in woods.

Not angry, just annoying

Haven't done anything to them, not confronted them yet either, seeking some sensible advice here, if that exists :D

Depends what age the school kids are... Primary school - tell the head teacher. Secondary school - set up a booby trap!

IMO, if you go out and yell at them etc they will find it funny and keep coming back. I'd go to the school and report it there saying how distressing it is to you when they do that.

take the cctv footage and hand it in to the headmaster, failing that wait for them to do it the next day and soak them in water mixed with chilli powder.

Chappy - we use to do this as kids, although usually at night and the idea was to try to do as many houses in a row as you could, then hide in a garden.

Childish, but then again they are kids.

Disconnect your bell for a few weeks, they'll grow board of it not working and never, ever go out raging at them.
