Hi Guys

Hoping to possibly pick up one of the below for my first build depending on the price of the 780Ti

Can somebody please sum up the main differences and benefits of the below please?

GTX 780 Superclock
GTX 780 Superclock ACX
GTX 780 ACX FTW
GTX 780 Classified

I know the ACX cooler is a better design but does it really improve performance? Does it allow GPU Boost to clock higher?

As for clocks, they are all different but would the normal reference superclock overclock to a decent amount compared to the classified and FTW?

Again other than a slight clock increase what benefit is there for the classified over the ACX FTW?

Thanks

As far as the different models go, for speed:

Classified > FTW > Superclock > normal

I would expect that the ACX cooler allows higher clocks (as well as lower noise) and the classified cooler is even better.

Classified uses the same acx cooler it just has a bigger shroud due to the larger PCB but underneath the cooler is the same.

Yes it will likely cool better and each version has a slightly higher base clock bios thus will boost to higher clocks. The Classified actually has a completely different PCB with more power phases to improve it's ability to overclock.

Cheers, I know which ones have a higher base clock etc I just wondered if the reference superclock and acx superclock for example would clock similar and same with the classified.

Looking at the replies it seems the classified is the way to go :)

Hi,

the classified do also have a superior power management and in our forums you can also find volt mods for the card to raise overclock the voltage now without EVbot connector. You can also find special overclocking BIOSes with up to 200% power target. As the card do have two different BIOS chips we are fine if you flash a BIOS like this to the second one as long as the first one stay "vanilla"
Those options are not available for normal cards and the classi will with this clock much higher then anything else. Customer reporting 1400+MHz on air.
If you do take care about overclock, want to play arround a little bit and maybe run some benchmarks the Classified is the one to go for.

Oh I never knew about, I got my 780 Classified last week so would I be eligible?

I think you should; I bought mine just over 2 weeks ago and I'm stepping up :)

And OP I recommend just going with the normal 780 ACX. The Classified isn't worth the extra in my opinion.
