both have outer case off , one has an additional inner case so it looks tidier?
Yep,i actually studied product design and production, its quite hilarious how people would actually compare these two like they are different, also, let just have everyone ignore the fact the xo image is from a early developers build.
I'm not wanting to buy either, its getting embarrassing to know I would be playing with people that get on like this, I'm now just considering going the PC route for the first time in my life.

Yes one is shrouded by mystery. But the xbox does look very off the shelf pc style bits like the hsf, whereas the ps4 looks like a custom design build.
Custom? Open any laptop, that's what it looks like with the outer casing removed.
If you are on about childish fanboy behaviour, go look in the gym section. It's everywhere, not just here.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the gym threads are full of man babies! Even the mods are at it there.

At least this time, there won't be any temptation to buy a slim model
Edit: not that I ever bought a PS3 slim. Still got my fat boy going strong.
What exactly is the problem with the internals comparison? They are following roughly the same sort of design philosophy as PS2 and Xbox, PS3 and Xbox 360. It's what each companies respective hardware designers "know".
Open any PS console bar the original and you'll see they are massively compact and fiddly, whereas every Xbox console has been pretty simple in layout and has a similar design each time.
