Instead of that "watercooled case" get a normal case for 100 pounds and h100i spend 40 quid on candy... In the end you will end up with good case and superior cooling...

And candy ofc.

Hi will not be using it for gaming
more use will be gopro hd editing at full hd and recordind films
£1200 to £1400
Also want to fit a lcd fan controller
thks

For video editing a you isn't really needed a cheap Nvidia card may help due to CUDA, but that's more on the rendering side. I wouldn't spend more than £50-£70 on one really.

Is building it an option? Or do you want pre-built.

Sorry you've had such poor advice so far, its very unlike this forum.

I want to get it built has want to overclock it
And want to use 2 monitors on full hd
was looking at the Asus GeForce GTX 660 or 650ti
and 1 ssd for os 1 ssd for gopro films on then a 2tb for storage and a MSI Z77 MPower
and a i5 or i7 and a Cooler Master Hyper T4 CPU Cooler and a tv card to record sky and a lcd fan cotroller ????????

This would be my choice:

Not much in term of features.

I just prefer the gigabyte BIOS and the fact their RMA service is UK based..

The gigabyte is also cheaper.

I have. Im not a fan of it. I prefer a clean and simple look where as that case has lots of angles and "messy" bits, for my taste anyway, and it's pricey.

That being said, a lot of people here have it and the reviews seem good for airflow.

Well if you're not going to be gaming then change the GPU in my spec to cheap nvidia GPU, use the money saved to get a second ssd and double the ram.
Haswell will be better/more future proof than ivybridge.

or maybe go with the x79 build

I've not included a case as that's a personal choice, can't help with the tv card.
the 120gb ssd for the os, 250gb for the videos.

Instead of that "watercooled case" get a normal case for 100 pounds and h100i spend 40 quid on candy... In the end you will end up with good case and superior cooling...

And candy ofc.

How is the h100i superior cooling to the one fitted in that case? I don't have either of the coolers so can't compare, however read the thread in the latest news/deals section of this forums and it says the cooler is better than the h100i.
Why would you spend £40 on candy in one go?

For video editing a you isn't really needed a cheap Nvidia card may help due to CUDA, but that's more on the rendering side. I wouldn't spend more than £50-£70 on one really.

Is building it an option? Or do you want pre-built.

Sorry you've had such poor advice so far, its very unlike this forum.

sorry but in what way is suggesting self build rather than pre-built bad advice? ok so I forgot to ask if he was going to be gaming, but having the gtx760(a ~£200 card) in the specs of the 2 pre-built systems would lead one to think he'll be using it for gaming at some point.
