Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9 - 10th November 2013]

The usual insightful stuff from the BBC commentary team:

Former Sunderland captain Gary Bennett at Stadium of Light for BBC Radio Newcastle: "City are going to try to get balls to Jesus Navas every opportunity they can, because he is very, very quick."

I'm surprised more people aren't expecting Arsenal to win? Look what they did in Europe compared to United last week...

Problem for Arsenal is that its Utd for a start and secondly its at OT. Going by our past run ins with Utd...we havent done so well especially at OT.

Ill be happy with a draw at least but really want us to get the 3 pts to keep our lead at 5pts.

Either im both excited and nervous about this game, this is a big game for us bigger than Liverpool and Dortmund imho.

De Gea

Smalling, Evans, Vidic, Evra

Valencia, Carrick, Jones, Kagawa

Rooney, RvP

would have preferred Januzaj to start.

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Jones, Carrick, Kagawa; Rooney, van Persie

Subs: Lindegaard, Giggs, Chicharito, Nani, Cleverley, Fellaini, Januzaj.

Yeah. Um...this isn't going to go well.

I don't think teams fear coming to OT any more though. I think you'll be surprised. Arse seem to have this growing confidence now and some self-belief.

I am trembling in fear :( hope we do you over though :D

No Januzaj? Kagawa is terrible on the left, he looks so lost.

Yup. He's a fantastic player at number 10. He's useless on the left. Unbelievable.

Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Flamini, Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Giroud

Metersaker and Rosicky out.

Jones is in there to shackle Ozil, obviously.

Yep definitely have a lot more resilience than what we had in seasons past especially against you lot. Which has been a long time coming, in seasons past we would easily concede stupid goals or lose after leading for a period of time.

As long as our defence stays tight against RVP and Rooney then we should be ok...still doesnt make me any less nervous though lol.

If it stays like this Saints will stay in the top four over the international break, incredible start from us. Then Arsenal and Chelsea away after the England games.

Will be interesting to see how Verm does as he hasnt played much with Kos lately, would have rather had Mert in the squad as him and Kos have a good understanding together.

Wonder if hes being rested due to Wed's game or is out with an injury.

EDIT: Seems like both Mert and Rosicky are out due to flu :/

What did I say yesterday lads?

I've put Aguero in my fantasy team and he has turned to rubbish.
