The bit that caught my attention was that he was being told that there was a problem with the new fencing that they had erected weeks before & he was asked if he'd had a run in with any gypsies. There was nothing wrong with the fencing & he took it that it was a reference to him living next to a caravan storage facility.
Three days later I get a phone call to say six of the horses are loose can I go help catch them, turns out some ****** had nicked a 28 feet section of 6 foot tall wire fencing which must have took some time as it will have had to be cut into sections and carried across 2 fields plus the fact that the cuts at the bottom were rusty. Looked to me like most of the links were cut way before & just enough left in to hold it all in place until they could come back for it, cut it all down in 10 minutes & be off with it.
Too much co-incidence, and this wasn't one of those stage things where they sit & shout "I've got a bloke called dave, anyone know dave?"
But yes I will still agree that most of these people are con artists, this guy did it as a hobby & worked a normal job.
