Nope, there is an NPC caged up earlier in the level. If you don't have the Master Key you'd need the cage key to unlock him.

Passed Anor Londo tonight and i think the games really opened up now! I assume i should head ti catacombs now?

IVe got so many armour sets at the moment that i dont really know what i should wear to best suit my style

I like the silver knight set and black iron set, have got the giant set too. Havels ring means load isnt really an issue so just wondering what i should wear or just mix and match

I have havals set too but its big and ugly

There is no real advantage to using a full set of armour. Mix and match.

Thanks, i like the look of giants helm and black iron set so mixture of those! Just got to the dark area beyond catacombs

got the lamp now so bit less sweaty

They're incredibly heavy though. Are you fat-rolling or mid-rolling?

I have havals ring equipped (though id rather not and use another ring not too sure) with the ring im a fair bit under half of my equipment load which is how ive been playing mostly, but may go for lighter armor and change for a better ring

The Crystal Caves is a nice short area, but can be really frustrating on your first few attempts. Just be careful and watch where you walk

The Bed of Chaos boss is... wow. Not overly fun. Like, at all.

Not sure which weapon to use, got a Silver straight sword from the Anor Lando guys up to +5 and got a mainly Dext build (42 at the moment). Got the 'Dragonslayer' spear which has a B dexterity bonus, might get that up to +5 and see how it does? Just don't want to waste too many materials on a weapon which may not be that good.

There's a cheap way to beat it which makes it much more bearable. It's the only boss I use cheap tactics on as I find it a really uninteresting fight. If you're interested in the tactics let me know.

IMO the best Dex weapon is the Great Scythe, found in The Catacombs. Really powerful, great stat scaling, and a great move set. I hadn't used it until my last playthrough and I fell in love with it. I would highly recommend it for any Dex build. Get it up to a +15 and with weapon buffs you'll be able to destroy most anything in the game in no time.

It is, though as it's a drop it's much harder to get hold of. As swords go it's probably my favourite for a Dex build.

Will try and find one, if not both, of those. Not been to Catacombs yet.

I *may* have used the cheap trick for the BoC already. I made the error of attacking the right orb first, making the second nearly impossible to reach without... well... y'know...

Really enjoying the game at the moment. Got about 30 Vit, 30 Endurance, 26 Str and 40 Dext, rocking the Black Iron armour and Grass Crest Shield at +10.

Killed the Scale-less Dragon, the four kings (ridiculously easy?) and obviously the BoC, not sure what I have left to do now?

I went and got one at anor londo, go to the bonfire, equip the item find ring, and a few humanity and took me about 10 minutes of killing the balder knights outside and using homeward bone and repeating! Then got one, went and killed the knights with it and got another lol

Its a awesome sword but i dont think my build is suitable as i have more points in strength that i do dex

I use a cheap trick for Ceaseless Discharge as well...that is appalling imo!
