Can't believe I made the mistake of not pre-ordering, got the funds sitting here and I wont get one on release, local Game reckon no extra stock apart from pre-orders,aaaaah. I find it so odd that stock is always an issue on new console releases

it always is on big product launches i.e. consoles.iphone,iPad etc et nobody wants to do a nintendo and make millions of wii u consoles and sell 4 lol

Its simple, they can only manufacture so many per month.
 
One thing I'd like to ask is why are sites making such a big deal out of XB1 displaying games at 1080P when they rendered at 720P? The Wii U displays all games, including Wii games at 1080P but not a single review site makes that distinction, have Microsoft mandated that sites mention the fact?

sorry if I'm not reading this correct but in short so much has been made of the whole 1080p thing but all this talk will be forgotten in 6months to a year as all 3 consoles will be running games at 1080p ;)

No what I'm saying is it's only with XB1 that sites and even devs in interviews have made a point of mentioning that XB1 renders in 720P but displays in 1080P, other consoles do this, including the original 360 as far as I know yet it's never been brought up by websites/devs until now with the XB1.

I definitely think GTAV raised the bar so much in terms of open world games they were worried it wouldnt stack up against it.

well thats new gen for you everyone expected both consoles to run everything in 1080p not upscaled like most of the launch title are like i said give a year and no one will care

When would they get stock back in?
 
Decided to go with the XB1 instead of a PS4 as theres quite a few of the exclusives I really fancy the look of, plus the integration with the TV is a big selling point for my mrs.
 
When I saw the news about the Lego game being delayed, I was thinking, "Who cares?"

Seems quite a few care :p

The latest video showing Forza and the side apps is rather good. Be able to refer back to internet guides and maps while in game, as well as keep them open on the screen as you play! :cool:
 
I'm guessing they should be coming on release day. I ordered my FM5 Limited Ed from them, and it stated that it should be here come release day.
 
Would it be a good idea to setup a thread on MM for people who want to swap FIFA for Forza5 vice verse? My preorder comes with FIFA and I've got no interest in it, I guess there's others who ordered with Forza and might prefer FIFA. I could sell the code but its easier to do swap with fellow OCUKer.

It's because Xbox One is meant to be 'next generation' whereby 1080P should be standard, the 360 came out at a time when 720P TV's were just hitting the market and Nintendo haven't been considered 'next generation' since the 90's.

Most TV's today are 1080P native so to be rendering in 720P and upscaling is a big disappointment, especially for a console which costs significantly more than its 1080P counterpart.
