AMD to bundle Battlefield 4 with Radeon R9 graphics cards

Revamped bundle then. Bought bf4 already while waiting on non ref 290s but another copy is ok to sell on. Loving the the thought of Thief being bundled in also. Wonder if gold ticket is the same as before. Pick of 3 games? So potential for bf4 thief and 1 other with a 290?
 
This seems a bit double edged, great to be offering BF4 on the R9 cards, but it does make a bit of a mockery of the whole special BF4 edition cards.
 
It's the thing when buying AMD stuff. You wait. First you wait for the proper drivers, then you wait to get free games, and then wait for lower prices. Early adopters get screw'd.

Never buy at launch.
 
It'll be a bit annoying if they make a new bundle that requires new codes.

As then what was the flipping point in never settle forever? Except being crap.
 
I have some codes from a mate for his 7970 and redeemed them for Farcry3 and something else i cant remember, however AMD send codes to get them from UBI store and that never ever worked, got the codes in may and to this day i never managed to get them to redeem lol. Got an email a few days ago from UBI that says the deals expired now heh. Just hope the new codes dont suffer the same issues
 
The Sapphire 290X is on weekly offer now too - if it includes BF4 and a ticket it'll be very good value (at the moment it's not showing anything).

No such promotion at OcUK, unless AMD sort something separately.

Right now they are expecting companies to make fresh orders for cards with coupons, which won't happen as what are companies supposed to do with old stock?

Though new stock with coupons does cost slightly more.

But until AMD give us some clarification, this promotion is not live at OcUK unless a product clearly shows BF4 in the free items listing, so don't expect otherwise guys.
 
Im holding out for a 290 non ref but this neversettle announcement has made me rethink the nvidia offers at the moment are better. Hopefully some good news from mantle keeps my decision to buy another amd card but I have to say im really tempted by nvidia now

That was done last week.

Our stance is simple, we refuse to buy more stock.
We want coupons for the stock we have so we can start offering it immediately. But the BF4 coupons are out of AMD's hands, that is with the board partners.

As to whether bronze, silver and gold codes un-used can be re-deemed against the new games they are bringing and how is a question I just put to AMD, they shall come back to me.
