**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Assassin's Creed Black Flag is a game I was thinking of getting for the One but it's £20 dearer over the PC version. I need to see if, to my wallet, that extra £20 can be justified.

"Oh my god, ill never buy a PC that doesnt have a FDD, it will never take off!"

People, sigh.
I remember that. I still had to keep a few machines with FDDs in work up until a couple of years ago as some of the really old programs were installed from floppy. Thankfully we've moved past it now!

When are GAME online taking the money? I've not been e-mailed about it at all.

I had an email last week saying they would be taking it early but no dates, when I spoke to one they said it would be from the 12th onwards, I not been charged yet.

Does anyone know when MS will anounce the MS store pricing / details?

I'd really like to know before I go and give Game money,

Oh and the comment about game charging £60 a game? their website says £50 and you £10 off on a few games if you buy them with your console (FIFA,FORZA,DR3,BF4,NBA2k & Ryse from memory) they are also selling Fighter within for half price with a console and did have LEgo on that list as well but as thats been delayed I Guess thats gone.

I've been going off these prices as to what I assume they'll be on the store

Cool mate thanks, my money is burning a hole in my pocket so they need to hurry up and take it!

I spoke to someone a couple of days ago who said they will take payment from Monday.

Which shows full rrp with none of the extras / day one dlc bonus packs

Well if they are all £49.99 I see no reason to have a disc. Launch titles are typically worth £2 a piece if you keep them nicely boxed up and in mint condition after a couple of years. Project Gotham 3 £49.99 on launch night - £1.99 at cash converters. My £60 steelbook of Perfect Dark I got on release day £2.99 in blockbusters. £49.99 for my copy of Kameo which I loved and now £1.50 in the local cash generator.

Why oh why would I bother buying discs to keep if they have zero value whatsoever after such a short time. Digital is mine to keep and will never get that deeply discounted.

EDIT: J-RPGs I always buy the limited edition or steelbook/artbook copy tho and those are my retirement fund

I never trade in games, but I pay full rrp (+£10 on what I can get) and do t get the extras maps cars I do for the cheaper price.

If they were identical them maybe I'd buy them digital but they are still a worse deal, regardless of selling on.

Only plus is I don't have to get off my ass and change the disc

I recently traded in a load of my old and "worthless" games, and I walked out of Game with a voucher for £194. A lot of those games were several years old.

If you can't sell on your digital copy then it's essentially worthless the moment you buy it. Are MS still looking into the digital marketplace like Steam are? Would be awesome if that ever happened. What happens to 'your' digital games if the servers ever get taken down?
