Yeah you'll just have to submit a FOI request and be faffed around for 2yrs to access them, it's much healthier for a democratic society that way.

I guess the side effect of this is websites will start archiving everything released by the major political parties / government to ensure it can't be deleted in the future.
 
Thread titles like these make me wonder how many people have actually read Orwell's book and how many just think 1984 is a catch all statement for "government doing something I don't like".

Yep I'm pretty sure Orwell didn't start off saying it all began when they deleted stuff off the web

The Tories are only doing this so people can't use old manifestos etc against them, it's already too late anyway, "the NHS is safe in my hands" speech is clearly total ****
