Fonts from Mac to Windows

Not sure if a question for OS X or Windows section tbh.

I have a shed load of fonts that i want to move from an Apple Xserve (OSX 10.4) to a Windows server (Server 2008 R2).
I only want to store the files, not install them.

However, when i try to copy them over, it creates files with the type "FILE" and size of 0kb. Apart from TrueType which show as TrueType but with a size of 0kb.

Fonts types are:

PS Type1 Outline Font
Font Suitcase
TrueType

Has anyone come across this? Is there anyway i can store Mac OS X fonts on a Windows OS?

stick them inside a zip/rar/7z archive?

How are you trying to get them out? Font Book (included with the OS) has an Export option.

When i zip up the folder containing the fonts, it does not contain the problematic font files.

I'm just trying to move the files from one server (OS X based) to another (Windows Server based) using FreeFileSync, or just a simple explorer copy by mapping a network drive.
