Completely agree, lego games are awesome plus you have the bonus of the marvel tie-in too

But now I'm intrigued as to what sort of difference we'll see with a patched version.
i'm only getting a PS4, why? As I only want a PS4 at the moment and can't see much use myself with an xbox one.. does that make my a fanboy?
PS4 offers remote play, offers PS+, offers a smaller more portable unit. I can move my PS4 around, the remote play means I can use my PS Vita to play games when the missus has the telly, or I can just move the PS4 near to the sofa and us my HDMI in on my laptop - job done.
I've just thought long and hard about which next gen console suits my needs, but I must admit the reports of wobbling units, broken units isn't making me feel like I've made the best choice, wasnt too bothered about the launch games..
The remote play isn't for some, nor is the unit being smaller, I know I can stuff the PS4 down the side of the sofa and plug into my laptop like i've done with a Ps3 recently..
With the missus I've got that hogs the telly, I can either go upstairs and use the telly up there, but then she'll go to bed meaning I need to then move the console downstairs to continue playing, or just use remote play, or if I want none interrupted play just sutff the console down the side of the sofa and use my laptop screen. i'll need to use the console vertical to do that, there are many reasons I went PS4 and not one was blind loyalty to Sony.

Seems to be the consensus... he likes Lego games anyway, I just thought Knack might be a bit more 'Next Gen' but I don't think he'll care about that

good choice, Lego games are generally pretty good.
Hah, fancy that. Like the reports of frame rate issues, but then PC owners with two titans have had frame rate issues.. Lets face it, COD Ghosts is a bit of a poo game IMO.
BF4 looks like the one to get if you want a decent FPS but that again is IMO.
thats the first time I've seen fix for something without a fault

The software for the launch consoles was finalised 3 months ago so was going to be a bit lacking hence the big day one patch.
But I agree there are certain things that should be there from the start especially what the PS3 can do.
Just a couple of things with that post it fix gif.
It doesn't look like just a sheets... it looks to be rather thick, and the right end corner still looks to be sitting up and not flat, I know its not a big deal but it would annoy the hell out of me as I'm a bit odd for that kind of thing.

Most of these 'missing' features will be added in a software update which will download as soon as you turn on the console for the first time.
Unless, of course, you don't have an internet connection (shame on you
) in which case you're screwed.
