**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Anyone here order from Sainsburys Entertainment online ?? if so what is the status of your order.

Also The XBOX ONE will be my 1st time subscribing to Xbox live and am looking to by the 1 years subscription , i have seen them for £26.99 is this the correct thing even thought it says "xbox360" 12 Month Xbox Live Gold Membership (Xbox 360)
i take it it just transfers over to xbox one ?
 
I'm still undecided about the Xbox One or PS4. I'm a big Fifa fan and like the look of the Fifa Legends on the XB1, also interested in Ryse too. I would get them both but I've just spent £1300 on a new TV too :-)

Did not realise this would be on PC as well. One less game for Xbox one means really on Forza I will be intersted in and tbh I'm not overly immpressed with that from what has been shown so far.

I might just skip this next generation of consoles and await the next...:D

So, talk to me people. Kinnect 2.0 led tv mounts? I presume it doesn't come with a suitable mount in the box?

I have a tv bench, so sat at bottom of tv is no good as there will be a foot of horizontal wood in view and I understand it now has a wide angle lense. If I put it in the av rack it'll be 2ft off the ground, which I presume is too low? Unless I angle it up, but that may distort image too much?

On top of tv would be ideal, it's about middle of the room height wise.


So, any decent mounts available? Or is it a bodge job till they are?.

Nice specs and all that but not really that different functionality than the PS3 and actually worse in some cases and a very disappointing launch line up whilst Xbox One at least tries to be different to its predecessor and has a much better launch line up, yes specs slightly worse but functionality much better and trying something new with launching with Kinect included so games developers know everyone has it so can put some very useful features in games in years to come, love the voice control and snap functionality, consoles are more entertainment devices today as well as games machines something Sony has forgot which is strange since the PS3 did it so well.

This is exactly how I feel. I preordered the ps4 being super psyched but after looking at the ui demo.... Seeing vita remote play running naff a few metres away and knack (one of the few exclusives on ps4) being review badly... I'm disappointed.

How likely can I go to a midnight launch and pick up an xbox one?

Does the pad you get with the console come with AA batteries or does it come with the play and charge kit as standard? The extra pads seem to just come with AA batteries, requiring an extra £19.99 spend?!

The official pad just comes with AA batteries. I just bought some Duracell rechargeables as they will do the job and I can always have at least 2 batteries fully charged when I need them.

In short I'd go forza > ryse having seen both in action at a lock in last Friday. It's subjective to my personal preference ofcourse!
 
well i popped in to my local gamestation today to ask about paying early and i know the guy there we was chatting away and he pulled me to one side and showed me a book with offers in it which is not for the public lol

says there is going to be some bundles on launch nite 469 with free forza or fifa plus any one of d/r 3/ ryse, fifa, forza , bf4 and they should have enough stock to allow you change from a previous day one launch ?

also full page said UPGRADE TO GHOSTS FOR FREE IF YOU BOUGHT THE 360 VERSION FROM US this was going to be 10

also 15 pound off bf4 or dr3 if bought on the night

tbh i think it will just bring the price in line with other places as he said there games will be priced 54.99
