A Sony representative has provided the following statement to IGN:

"A handful of people have reported issues with their PlayStation 4 systems. This is within our expectations for a new product introduction, and the vast majority of PS4 feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are closely monitoring for additional reports, but we think these are isolated incidents and are on track for a great launch.

There have been several problems reported, which leads us to believe there isn’t a singular problem that could impact a broader percentage of systems. The number of affected systems represents less than .04% of shipped units to date, which is within our expectations for a new product introduction.

Just got an email from amazon offering the killzone pack with the extra control and camera for £429.99 - i wasn't going to bother at launch ( i had cancelled my shop to offer of the same with them price gouging) but even though theres nothing really anything that tickles my fancy at that price i can't refuse :P
 
I am considering picking up one of this gen of consoles, but was disappointed to see that they took media streaming out of it as that was kind of a core thing for me :/

Xbox has it but lacks the graphics power...nnngh.

They had ps4s set up in university today some sort of assassins creed expo thing. Wasnt well received by the guys on my course with a ps3, apparently looks no better than their ps3 does.

DLNA is coming in an early patch, you cant patch a GPu/Memory upgrade :D

DLNA streaming is been put in at a later date with other missing features
 
I seriously worry about the size of this thing. All that heat packed into that box, in the tear down there didn't seem to be much in the way of cooling.

I think the "Slim" variety might even get bigger. LOL

Decided to go for one in the end, paid up today. Hope all goes well.

The PS4 has way more vents on the rear, I can't see cooling being an issue.
 
Has anyone upgrade to a pre order bundle on amazon?
I have just had an email saying i can upgrade and im tempted to get the killzone pack which on one page states it has the following.

How many controllers are there in the bundles?
The standalone Sony PlayStation console comes with one controller
The Sony PlayStation 4 Gamer Pack comes with 2 controllers

The Sony PlayStation 4 and Killzone Shadow Fall Pack comes with 2 controllers

The Sony PlayStation 4 and Knack Pack comes with 1 controller

Yet on the actual Killzone Bundle page it has the below.


PlayStation 4 System (Jet Black)
DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller
HDMI Cable
Power Cable
Wired Mono Headset
USB Charging Cable

Doesnt mention a 2nd controller has anyone else noticed this?
