**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Well I just checked Amazon and their now listing the release date as 22nd Nov for Marvel Super Heroes... Despite that press release saying it's Nov 29th in Europe.

So I'm even more confused now.

Well it says it'll be "on store shelves in European territories beginning November 29." Which technically isn't our launch date, so maybe it's still delayed in Europe??
Good spot. Maybe it's been "delayed" by a week over here then? Perhaps supply issues were the reason behind the delay, rather than any technical issues with the console?

I've not seen the news confirmed anywhere else yet though. Also, I'll probably stick with my PS4 order for it now as I didn't realise the PS4 version had some exclusive DLC for it.

Is it delayed for all consoles or just the XBO? My 360 version was shipped yesterday but a friend of mine has been told their PS3 version is delayed so has been refunded the P+P.
It was only meant to be the XB1 version of Lego that was delayed. All other versions were meant to ship on time.

Happy bunny now ... thanks to the earlier heads up I have pre-ordered the Console and FIFA SE for allegedly release day delivery :)

Hey mate, did you see my follow up post?

Thats the one I was referring to earlier but ended up deciding against it. I did read someone on HUKD say that the bundle itself isn't due for release on the 22nd though so them saying you will get it for 'release day' is a bit misleading if that's the case...

Let me know if there is a date in your confirmation email as there seems to be a lot of confusion around the actual 'release date' for this particular bundle.

No I didn't Faded ... the postage option stated for release day .... going back to look for your post :o

Any one know if the HDMI passthrough works even if the Console isn't on at all ?
Being as my Plasma is an earlyish one, it only has 2 HDMI, and my BD player and Sky have those ATM.

Anyone reckon the prices for games on demand will be same as retail?

Just won £50 code from a bottle of Mountain Dew to use on Xbox.com and bought another £100

want to go digital :)

The Xbox One is a BluRay player so surely you can just unplug that?

My guess (and it is a guess) is they will match the prices on the MS store for physical copies.

So £50 or £55 for COD and BF4.

I'm interested in this too as I'd ideally like my Sky box going into the One so I can snap TV, but also be able to use Sky totally standalone without the Xbox being on.

Some Googling suggests the pass-through should work the same as any other i.e. the device (Xbox) can remain off, or at worst, in standby. Others seem to think it will all be handled via the Xbox UI, which would be a bummer.

I guess only way we'll know for certain is next week.

Dont need the Bluray player as the Xbox is one and you can pass through your Sky with the Xbox One.

What are you going to do with your spare port?

The xbox will be on to watch stuff plugged into it but should be ok.

Im hoping i can clear up my amp inputs as well Sky 5.1 comes through HDMI now doesnt it? Im currently using the SPIDIF and would like to share one output for Sky and Xbox.

I made a post asking which would be better to buy between the PS4 and Xbox but it was deleted as there is already a thread. I couldn't find it.. so I hope it's ok to post in this one?? I'll try to do a shorter version:

PS4 - seems to have much better specs and it's cheaper (the money isn't a problem though). I thought it wouldn't make a difference but then I read this article about Battlefield 4 and how the PS4 renders at 1080p compared to 720p?? But then I also read that the Xbox One unsamples better than the PS4 or something? I don't really understand it all to be honest..

So will it really make a big difference? I had an Xbox 360 until recently so ideally I would stick with Microsoft, plus most of my friends are on Xbox Live. This hardware thing worries me a bit though. Any help would be great, thanks :)

Thanks for the replies guys :)

My BD player is a pretty nice one (though a little old).
Not sure the XB will be as good ?
Does the XB do full audio (DTS HD, Dolby True HD etc) as well ?

If all your friends are on Xbox Live AND plan to get a XO then it's a no brainer get the XO unless you play mainly single player games.

All this malarky over specs is getting beyond a joke in my opinion. I keep saying it and will continue to say it, it's a console.... if you are really that worried about graphics get a PC and be done with it. Consoles are for a quick easy gaming experience and exclusives. Failing that get both :D
