**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Has this been posted?

UPDATE: Warner Bros has confirmed to us that Lego Marvel Super Heroes will be out on 29th November in Europe for both Xbox One and PS4. Thus the Xbox One version is only missing the console's 22nd November launch by a week, and the delay is limited to Europe. In North America it will still be an Xbox One launch title.

Major Nelson and a few other high-up Xbox guys publicly congratulated Sony last night on Twitter, I don't think there's anything malicious in it.

Oh, there really is. They're just jealous..

Tbh, in their shoes, i'd be quite envious of the competitors being able to launch so smoothly and with so few issues. Sending out quite a 'humble' message like that will gain some positive PR along with it. But it really is a credit to Sony to be able to do such a thing. Just up to MS to match it now :)

I think its already bitten them on the rear ... not enough consoles available on release day ;)

But for anyone like me, who ordered the fifa SE bundle from Amazon, this is a cut and paste from their email to me:

"Our latest information indicates that "Xbox One Console: FIFA 14 Special Edition" hasn't yet been released and the expected release date is not known. As soon as a release date has been determined for this item, we will add that information to our website."

I'm happy in a way that I ended up having to jump ship early and go to the MS store.

Especially as back then, that was the only place that stated whether you were pre-ordering a console that had a game bundled.

Yup. Here's how I see it, and to be clear to people (ps3udo), this is just my opinion based on nothing more than my own theories....

If the Xbox One and PS4 are both being utilised to the full, the PS4 would be something like 20% ahead (in real world terms)

Why would it only be 20% ahead when it's got a 50% advantage pretty much everywhere? And not taking into account the OS will always be less resource hungry too.

A 50% power difference in specs won't always equal a 50% difference in real world performance IMO. Theoretical performance and real world performance are often 2 very different things.

Oh, and before you go quoting BF and COD at me, remember there are more games running at equal specs than different specs :)

Trying to get my 7yr old excited that he and his brother will be getting an XboxONE for xmas. However he's not excited. Doesn't understand why it'll be better cos of the name. Saying, but the 360 will be better, why is it called one if its better than ? I guess he's associating the name with the original xbox, that is hooked up in his room, just so i can experience the very occasional retro game.

Anyway, if that's the way he feels, i wonder what all the mum's / grandparents and so on, that are really not into gaming forums will take it.

But you said if both were being utilised to there full potential? Surely by that you mean both using what they have available to there fullest = full 50% advantage.

Has this got something to do with balance and porches?

Well if he doesn't even understand, and you seem to hate everything about this console...why are you buying it?

Why is it people assume the ps4 won't be able to put 100% of it's power down yet are happy to assume the xbox will be able to put 100% of it's power down when doing these comparisons? Surely if it was the case both would not be able to put down 100% of there respective "powers" down still resulting in a 50% gap.
