Children In Need - How much have you donated?

Nothing this year, greedy celebs and the bbc!

To be fair Neil, it's been disclosed that Wogan is the only celeb who charges, the rest don't want anything.

The production staff will obviously be paid, but that can only be expected, it's their regular job.

50p when i went to Cobham services yesterday. I was asked if i wanted it put on my food bill, i felt obliged lol.

TBH, i didn't even know it was CiN today till then!

haha, what, in their contract, does it explicitly say they won't get paid on Children In Need? They probably get free food, etc, also.

Mind you it does annoy me when the celebs proclaim that they're "giving up their time to help"

Big ******* deal!

Thousands of people give up their time up and down the country every day to help people in need. They don't proclaim their charitable nature and ask to be treated like national heroes.

I have done voluntary work a few times and I got free food. Why not the celebs?

I don't think you understand how TV works? It's not like Harry Hill is on an hourly rate with shift allowance for working nights

It's all about publicity anyway...

AFAIK they are paid a yearly contract, so they're not strictly turning up and working for free are they?

My friend was once a runner for Comic Relief and he said backstage they all had expensive champagne, posh nosh and were waited on hand and foot.

It may not be ideal but a truck load of money helps some people that may not otherwise get any help.

That outweighs the negatives for me.

I already give all I can afford each month to charities I care about through payroll so nothing.

Indeed. It raises millions, so celebrities performing for free pr isn't that big of deal. They need to fill like 6 hours anyway.

I have never donated.

Nothing.
Almost bought some of the merch i liked when i was in a shop the other day but that's it really.

Didn't even know it was on tonight till i saw my young brother heading to school in a onsie..
