Children In Need - How much have you donated?

Oh, and no I didn't give anything to children in need, but I raised 500 quid for my local hospice this year as well as donating to all of my work colleagues efforts when they do things. (which with 1200 colleagues generally is at least a fiver a month, usually 20 quid or more though!

Not a bean for CIN

There are far more deserving charities out there in my eyes

Same with most of the big charities run by people on massive salaries. Find me a worthy cause where they don't have a director on 6 figure salaries creaming off the top then well talk

£0

Neither I nor my parents where ever given financial help in any way, so why should give anyone else any.

Most of the little brats won't be deserving of any money anyway or the money will go abroad.

Time they binned this whole farce.

Most of them wouldn't notice it gone, most of them don't even deserve the pay (footballers in particular, they are getting paid stupid money)

So why shouldn't they?

Football clubs should take what ever they pay, take 1/3rd of the wages and donate them to charity instead, I know a couple of sportsmen that already do it anyway, and they still can't spend all the cash they have (I watched a thing about some basket ball and American football clubs that do it as well as a couple of UK footballers).

When your paid millions a year, even just donating the interest would be thousands more than most of us on here earn every year.

That doesn't make any sense.

Footballers generate huge amounts of cash for the companies they work for and are rewarded for it.

Why should they give half their money away?

I've never understood this argument.

Let's all hate the rich for doing nothing but being better at earning money than we are waaaaah.

£0, zero, nothing & never will as I don't need to force fed trash TV and guilt trip adverts to decide where my money should go.

I might however consider donating if Wogan was to be tortured and shot during the program.

What a hateful bunch of people in this thread!

I donate to Cancer Research UK, but I have absolutely no problem with CiN or the people involved.

Nope

I wonder how much actually ends up helping
Not a charity I'm really interested if any way
Don't watch it, don't contribute
Hate the celeb hypocrisy

I did wonder why people were dressed up at fleet services yesterday

You didn't answer my question, why should they ?

Why do people think that just because someone for eg a footballer, earns a lot of money that they should be force to give to charity...

Whether they deserve that money or not isn't anyone's business.
