I get the feeling I'll be going to every shop to try and get an XBox One next Friday, though I'm not sure the local butcher will have any left in stock.

Because the Day One editions with FIFA bundled with BF4, a controller and charge and play kit looked like they didnt? There's no "needs a pre order banner" /shrug

It's a bundle, but I don't think it's too bad for the price and at least it's potentially decent stuff, depends if you really want it on day one I suppose but BF4 is decent, you still get the FIFA free and most people would have a use for a second controller although he ply and charge kit is a bit dubious I suppose.

whilst the standard day one editions look like they need a pre order the bundles with an additional game or controller etc look like they have stock for day of release delivery. The cheapest looks to be Forza Day One edition, plus BF4, and extra controller and a play and charge kit for £487. I've not tried to buy one so apologies if there's a requirement I missed but these bundles don't have the "available with a pre order code" banner the standard day one editions have.

If you manage to get one don't say I never do anything for you ;)

That package doesnt have the extra controller just the charge kit.

My banks just been charged by game for mine so great news roll on next friday, I just pray we don't get all this snow they are saying.

How gutted would we all be if it hammered down with snow next Thursday/Friday and messed are deliveries up.

Even the bundles? Oh that sucks.. Sorry :( It was posted on MCV a couple of hours ago that ASDA had got more stock, stupid internet, that'll teach me. Sorry, false alarm :(

Wow, those achievements look pretty damn awesome. Might get me back interested in going for them again, as I've kinda stopped going for achievements the past few months.
 
Whats all the bitching about kinect about? Keep reading people moaning about it in flame wars, how they need to release a version with it disconnected and 'bad policies' etc?

I know people moaned about DRM, not something thats ever bothered me as i prefer to make a collection of games, but whats the kinect stuff about?

At first people assumed (because MS never corrected anyone) that the Kinect always had to be connected and switched on, so a lot of people didn't want to be forced into having a camera that they didn't want, and was always switched on.

Then MS said that the Kinect could be turned off. Now people were just annoyed they were forced into buying a console with a camera that they couldn't disconnect.

Then MS confirmed Kinect didn't need to be plugged in at all. Now people are annoyed they are forced into buying a camera they don't want.

Personally, given the integration between Kinect and the OS, I'm more than happy to have it.
