Gamer pack still showing £429 for me.
My amazon pre order price hasnt changed... Was looking at the pre order charts, out of 20 items, half is PS4 related, 6 items are xbox one, the rest is made up of 3DS or Wii U. 50% of amazon pre orders are made up of just Sony PS4.. Impressive.
I find it disturbing that people get worked up and try to defend consoles with comments like 'its new devs rushed etc'. Devs have had devkits for these systems for a long time, where people get the impression they have had to rush it beyond me.

I don't think you know how hard it is for devs to make a game for sometimes 6 different platforms, using several different architectures, while trying to get the game running on a next gen system where for the majority of the development, the final specs of the console haven't even been sorted yet.
Just look at the early releases for both the 360 and PS3 and compare them to something like GTA V. They're miles apart. The games on both next gen systems will improve hugely over the next few years. Only an idiot would look at the release games and treat them as some sort on indicator of the overall capabilities of either console.
i'd say being quite serious. AC3 on the PC ran like a dog for some, wasn't very well optimised by all accounts.
Sometimes just because the power is there, despite having dev kits for a while devs just never seem to get the full potential out of what they have. UBI soft are known for it.
Like, give a good driver a basic road car around a track, he'll get damn good lap times if they know what they are doing, example would be top gear and the star in a reasonable priced car. Who would think a basic car like what that used for the F1 drivers would turn out such lap times?
Point being, great devs WILL harness the full potential, but some devs just don't and some devs release sloppy code that needs patching up.. Sadly that has always been the case ever since the early days of PC gaming..

I agree, but I don't think that's the point he's trying to make. He's suggesting that the slowdown is down to console issues, not developer issues. At least that's how I read it.
If that is what is being suggested, then this is trolling as Killzone Shadowfall Vs COD GHOSTS should finish that argument off..
PS4 is not a slouch, its a powerful system, reported to be arond 7870 ish speeds for its GPU or around about that... Which puts it on par with my 7970M in my alienware laptop, and trust me, that GPU is no slouch..
The PS4 hardware (much like the PS Vita) for the price is amazing really. Its a good price for such a good bit of hardware (provided it doesn't melt) which devs will over time have a field day developing for.
Am not trying to flame. My point is that the hardware is not the leap i expected over the previous gen. Of course games will improve they do every generation and i dont assume that cod performance is indicative of what ps4 is capable of.
But isnt KI for the xbone, developed solely for xbone mind, running at 720p? I just expected better from a new gen after 7 years thats all.
I like how people are getting all upset over frame rate issues on COD and they're blaming it on the console. It's the devs that have made it that way. If a game like Killzone can run how it runs then there is no reason why COD shouldn't easily be able to run at 60fps/1080p.
From the devs themselves, mainly. Pretty sure the CoD devs said that with more time and experience with the hardware, they'd have had the game running at 1080p on the Xbox One. Similarly, a few other PS3 games have received downloadable updates to improve the game's performance or get it running at at 1080p.
You find it disturbing that people defend the consoles, I find it disturbing that you're so willing to judge an entire generation based on the performance of just some of the launch titles. It's rather narrow-minded, really.
Its just flame bait. I had a chap who is pro MS and loves his xbox one more then life hit me with COD and having FPS issues... Shame he never bothered to think about BF4, or Killzone all being fine and maintaining stable FPS.
COD is just based on an aging engine, sloppy work all around and game should be avoided - but it sells in huge numbers.
i'll enjoy BF4 and Killzone at sustained FPS thank you very much.

That's as much down to the developers as anything. Forza is 1080p, as are a lot of other games. There are more games running at 1080p than the ones running below.
Besides, I tend to look at KI as something akin to an arcade title, so I wouldn't expect them to put the same time and love into it as say Turn 10 are doing with Forza.

Mine is the Killzone bundle without camera or extra controller and was £379 until today it changed to £385. Amazon say they will refund the difference but just mentioning as they have not in the past unless you individually contacted them to complain.

See to me, COD is a dogpile game that i wouldnt consider playing as an older generation of pc gamer, its just the game that console gamers seem to enjoy and is why i was looking at it.
I am just trying to pick a console to buy and finding myself seeing negatives everywhere is all. Didnt mean to come across as overly negative though i am sure i have done. The KI comment was not to derail i am just aware of it due to being in the FGC, couldnt think of a ps4 title to mention. If most games are running or going to run at 1080p then i am just jumping to conclusions anyway never mind

I think within 12-18 months you'll see the vast majority of games (on either console) running at 1080p. The PS4 versions will probably look better, but games on either system will look more than good enough IMO.
Of course, if you're a heavy PC gamer then I don't think either console will match that graphically.
So is the game sharing, picture sharing etc like over on Steam? that works really well on Steam, take a screen shot, it then lists it in a type of blog event log, I find Steam works better the more friends you have, even if you don't play a lot of games with these friends, example being Pinball FX2 on Steam. More friends you have, the better that game is, as you are always chasing their best scores.
Like racing games, lap times are always being chased, it becomes better.. My PSN account has so few friends on it, yet steam i've got loads and I found Steam a great social platform.
Co op works great over on Steam.. So, is PSN now becoming social like Steam as if so, I need social friends who like to share pictures, chase high scores and play co op online lol
