Resogun is getting a lot of love. Quite looking forward to trying that. Seems like one of those simple but addictive games you can spend hours on.
 
There will always be a % of failures, same with just about everything. It is after all a mass produced piece of hardware by the cheapest factory Sony could find.....

Which is why you shouldn't cancel... Sadly tech fails. But I do think there is a bit a smear campaign going on at the moment. there are a lot of upset 360 owners that were never happy with what MS did to begin with, then were even more upset when Sony got the better of MS at E3.

they've been waiting to get back at Sony, as said the level of fanboyism for the next gen has been astounding.

Not to get too much into that, but if you want a PS4 and have one on pre order, then simply do not cancel, let it come. If it works then happy days. enjoy your PS4, if not then like any electrical item, get it replaced or refunded.
 
I guess aslong as your own ps4 works all is good with the world lol.
The only downside as pointed out is if it is a faulty unit... whats the odds of getting a replacement any time soon.

Argh... I'll erm maybe have to hang head in shame for re quoting Lateralus68 although can't blame him entirely.. I'm a sheep at times and easily lead. Why am I buying a PS4 again?? lol
 
I might have missed this but has there been any info on the ps upscaler quality for dvd's and the blu ray quality? Im going to guess its going to be the same as the ps3 but could be wrong.

Meant to have a much louder drive which is very noticeable during games and even more noticeable during films.
 
Hope its not too loud. I usually have surround on during movies so that might not be too bad. My ps3 was always my blu ray and dvd player too though so its an important
thing too.
i'd just use the ps3 but its been faulty for ages so it was going in the wardrobe.
 
Sony have confirmed it's louder but I have no point of reference because I've never used a PS3. Hoping it's not too bad because I want to replace my BR player with a console too.

Got a link to the info about when watching a Blu ray? I've read about it being very loud while caching game data, but nothing about when watching a movie.

Edit: Just found it; it's the Daily Beast's review, unfortunately they don't go into much detail.

Great use of the share function here, shows how quick you can edit and share a clip mid game, also LOL at their reactions to the glitch

I've been reading AVS forums over the last few days and the PS4 hasn't been mentioned much in terms of BR playback. Rather trust AV whackos over reviewers tbh.

Not even considering a cancellation, instead I decided to put the cash down upfront. That's how convinced I am of it being a non-issue.
