The great thing that happened last gen and probably even more so this gen is that unless its a hardware restriction pretty much any UI/OS feature from one can be done on the other.
 
Ok, so do I put in pre order for xbox? If I did, when would I be expecting to receive a unit? There are some awesome games lined up for the box, so I'm leaning to getting both ps4 and xbone now.

Really? I have never had any problems getting in touch with them. They are even replying on twitter to questions.

They are probably swamped now that Lovefilm no longer does game rentals.
 
I've spammed their facebook daily, sent daily emails and called daily for 2 weeks!

Time to spam their twitter too then as they are really ******* me off!
 
May have to give boomerang rentals a shot as there are a lot of games I'd like to try out but don't want to spend £50 on! I'm kind of annoyed actually that with the consoles out in a week the PS4/Xb1 games are all still priced so highly. I thought the prices were initially place markers until launch but it's looking like £50 games might be here to stay until after Xmas anyway :mad:

Are there any other game rental services worth considering as this is increasingly starting to look like the way to go in future?
 
M$ definitely invest a lot more effort and money into advertising. I must have seen 8-10 xbox one ads on telly last night on various channels. Not a single PS4 ad to be seen.

Most online places are still doing guaranteed before xmas deliveries.
I am hoping most of the shortage is marketing hype and I can pick one up from a store on release day, fingers crossed !
 
Looking at some of the bundles on a certain website that may or may not be a competitor and none of the big packs interest me. Why oh why can't they let you pick games for a bundle? I don't want BF4 or Ghosts.

Nope sadly they are drying up. I used to use Lovefilm all the time. My route now I think will only be buying what I really really know I will love and anything else from the bargain bin 6 months after it's out.

I will be battering through a game again to get it on the MM before it loses a £1 :D

They have been dreadful every single time I have tried them, complaining only got me extra time for free. If they took 2 weeks to send a game they gave me 2 or 4 weeks for free. Games never came faster so I gave up. If I send a game back on a monday I expect a replacement to be sent by thursday/friday.

Lovefilm was excellent because I rent dvds as well. A sad loss for me.

Lovefilm was excellent for me as well. They always had a fast turn around. Is there any other rental companies out there?
