Very impressive numbers from Sony, though I heard it was 1 million sold to stores, not customers (though they probably sold out everywhere, so essentially the same numbers anyway). I hope they sort as many out for Europe, I don't want to wait too long for my console!

Unfortunately they are still making a loss on each one sold, nowhere near as much as the early ps3s but still.

In the long run though they should be rolling in it.

I think they'll make a decent profit with the ps4 like they did the ps3 but the problem with sony is how poorly their audio/visual side of the company is doing, the ps side of things is whats been keeping them going so they really have to turn a profit and sooner rather than later.

edit. and i wouldn't pay any attention to that foxconn rumor.

that's the rumor but that was covering hardware loss, still have to take into account the manufacturing cost, development, marketing etc till they actually start turning a real profit. but like they say it should still see profit faster than the ps3 did.
