You just reminded me to cancel my pre-order for PS4 + Killzone!

I've got another pre-order in for Killzone Mega Bundle for only £29 more with delivery before Christmas, Would have liked it launch day but the bundle represents a better deal for me :)

I am going to try my luck at the supermarket for the same bundle and get 10% off fingers crossed. If successful I'll cancel this as well lol
 
Saw Knack and FIFA 14 running on the PS4 in Game earlier.

Neither looked very next gen but they are rubbish games to be demoing the machine with. They wouldn't look any better running on a high end PC.
 
One of my mates in the US has just emailed me saying his PS4 is no longer working. Apparently it powers up but shows nothing on the screen he said there seems to be no output from the HDMi even though the console is powering up ok.

Weird, Hope mine is ok....

there was an article going around saying there is a bit of metal protruding or something near the HDMI socket, push it down, and then refit a new HDMI cable and it should be fixed.

Sony have mass produced this units at cheapest price possible and seems quality control as suffered. I heard foxxconn were mistreating staff working on the production of these units.. That plant is notoriously bad for poor work ethics and apparently a report has been issued on a forum but took down about production line sabotage - it was linked in this thread..

I have just mentioned that to him but he says it all looks ok and he did check before plugging it in. The console does everything it should just outputs nothing from HDMi. If you insert a disc you can hear it read it.

I have told him to try a different HDMi lead but it sounds like it has gone pop.

That sucks. I hope this doesn't become as widespread as people are suggesting.
