Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

I much prefer the LAV to the tanks in BF4. More agile. While in a tank I feel like a very slow walking C4 target. Most of the maps IMO are not big enough to make tank play viable. In saying that I haven't invested that much time in them.

tanks are okay love the btr myself

why can;t they add range finding/zeroing to the tanks, this is a modern warfare (risky statement right there ;) ) game and I'm pretty sure the tanks represented in the games have some computer aided targeting.....could you imagine if they just had to "wing it" like we do....

"ohhhh it's a bit far....hummmmm I'll aim here, this will probably do.......*BOOM* oops nope, hit the ground....lets try again *KABOOM* oops nope, took out that building, oh dash darnit!"

don't want to get into a realism debate or what not but the drop off rate is retarded.

new drivers? YAY! *crosses fingers for more FPS*

Accuracy is messed in this game swapping from infantry to vehicles and it bugs really bad...

Also don't use the standard tank shell it's crap... get the sabot shell and it has zero bullet drop up to about 800 meters... Also the HE shell is good but it's map dependent... ie u wouldn't use it on gulmod for example :)

Tanks are ok if you have good positioning a gunner along for the ride who is half decent and upgrades for the anti-infantry weapons that aren't affected by the crud netcode (area of effect weapons). With the LMG way too many people can just run straight at you through everything you throw at them, plant C4 and get back to cover to blow you up :(

So yesturday I was playing Flood Zone HC, don't know the gametype, the CTF style one.
But ofcourse my team were all sniping at the back, so I was raging about it, and one of my team members said "do something about it then".

So I did.

C4 + a rooftop + 12 of your team sniping from it + friendly fire ON.... ;)

Needless to say having done this a few times they bucked their act up and we managed to win :D

There is a range finder on it. Point your tank barrel at a target and the number down the bottom ie 350 will tell you range.

I do have a lot of fun on big 64 player conquest lately. Recon, AC-5 with Silencer, HOLO sight, stubby grip, Thermal bino's, C4, running round the map spotting enemy snipers and taking them out with my knife, killing tanks and setting up road ambushes by placing c4 in strips on the road! Laser designating helicopters with the bino's when no one is near me to kill, or blowing up buildings with people inside them!

Its really annoying on several maps/modes (hardcore with friendly fire on) where your team gets supressed back to spawn/first flag and 80% of the players just go prone 2 steps from spawning with sniper rifle or machinegun and just let themselves be held there while by their actions no one half clued up on their team can push forwards and turn the game around due to doing so means you get killed most of the time shot in the back by your own team.

How in the hell does someone get 512% accuracy? Just out of a game where someone has somehow managed to score that....

easy ;) if they are only using weapons that can do splash damage and constantly firing into groups of enemies. think in bf3 I had maybe a few shotguns, the dart gun and maybe some others over 100% because they'd pretty much be used on metro :p

back when I played delta force:task force dagger I had an accuracy with the smaw (or what ever the rpg was) of 200%. only fired the thing once but got a double kill with it haha xD

got a link to the battle report?

should be able to use proximity chat and give them warning of their insubordination and that they are subject to the death penalty....as you TK them with a pistol shot to the dome ;)
