Hi guys,
I'm in the market for a new TV for my soon to arrive PS4.
I basically want something with the smoothest motion and least amount of input lag. I've done some research but unlike PC monitors I'm pretty stumped.
I simply LOVE 120hz on PC, the smoothness of motion is a huge thing for me. I currently have the G2773HS Iiyama 120hz monitor and it's great.
How does Hz work in console land? I know games are capped to 60fps, and that HDMI doesn't work with 120hz (right?). So what benefit is there with a higher HZ TV for gaming?
I currently have a 37inch Dell tv which we inherited and is frankly utter ****e. Credits stutters at the end of shows, any camera panning is stuttery as hell also.
So please, help me navigate this confusing world of console TV's! Ideally need something around 40" and not much more than £500 if at all possible (cheaper the better). Plasma or LED I have no idea, whatever you think is best.
Thanks guys!
TLDR: Best TV for £500 PS4 gaming.
