Seems poor value as its £40 with a £5 voucher on pre-orders.
You can get 12 months gold for under £30 without searching to far

I'm a sucker for limited edition stuff, the Day One Edition being one of them... but I generally try to avoid steelbooks like the plague.

the 1 year live sub has 1 year of live (obviously) and £5 of live credit and Shadow Jango for killer instinct (same chr you get free with a different skin)

I got it for 29.99 with my console so its a year of live for £25 which aint bad, specially as its bound to go up before my sub runs out in 2015 now.

Oh and a fancy steel box and a nerd card to impress the ladies.

Unfortunately not, it was initially reported you would get KI with this but more recent reports have suggested you just get the exclusive character. The exclusive 'character' isn't even really a character, it's Shadow Jago and whilst he takes up a character slot at the select screen he is no different from regular Jago from a gameplay stand point. He just has a different voice actor and different costumes.
