OK so from time to time I'm getting "CPU Fan Error" when I boot up my system , and I have no idea why , the mobo i have is as below the...CPU Cooler I have is also as stated below I'm sure it's not the mobo as I used to get the same Error on my previous mobo ( Asus M5A99X EVO ) ....the cooler has two fans connected to the " CPU_FAN" via a Y splitter that came with the cooler i have tried different fans ...but the same error comes up , ..could it be an issue with the slitter itself ?

thanx :)

Its probably just the fact the fan doesn't have an RPM sensor so the motherboard thinks its not spinning. Disable the warning in BIOS.

as in it needs replacing or its just the way it is PiKe?

As in theres no way you can combine 2 rpm sensors and have the motherboard make sense of it, do away with the splitter, plug one fan into cpu header, other one into sys header on the board.

ok....there is on the mobo a CPU Fan Optional header just across from the main cpu fan header itself i could use that for the 2nd fan ??

Yup that's what it's for if you have 2 fans on your cooler. Put a fan into each header and you'll probably find your issue resolves itself.
