Do you get an Xmas bonus?

I wish. We get project bonuses providing we stay on the project for a certain amount of time.
A company I previously worked for paid a 13 month salary, so 2 months pay at Christmas. I miss that!!

Why would you do that to yourself?

I want the money, trying to buy a house.

Brothers had a sprog so they arent their christmas day, sisters not sure what shes doing, so christmas is just a bit pointless.

The best part of christmas is seeing friends and family. Seeing family christmas eve (as well as christmas dinner, on christmas eve) and all the mate drinking happens in the weekends leading up to christmas. Which I have off for a change.

Seems pointless turning down triple time + Extra AL for nothing, especially as i want the money.

Been there, worked 5 xmas days in a row up until my daughter arrived 6 years ago.

In my previous company one of the busiest days for orders was xmas day but now I'm an operations manager for a company thats heavily tied in with the school calendar so xmas is pretty quiet comparably.

Also I dont get paid O/T so working xmas day can **** off.

Yep i get a nice fat bonus come xmas time...usually get £2k but seeing as the company is booming and im making lots of money for my boss, ill probably get double that this xmas.

Which will then go to pay for a new car for the missus as she wants to replace her ageing Polo with a new one. So i wont get to spend it :(.

Nope, although there is an end of tax year bonus and it is performance related. Maximum is £500.

They don't even do a Christmas party but opt to do a party in February, I see it as being cheaper for them. Stingy cu***s!

Generally get a pathetic offering depending on sales etc, then it is seen fit to tax us twice on it..

Still, something better than nothing and all that.

Mine is PRP (performance related pay) linked so the better we do the more we get with an element of that being an xmas bonus, so long the company doesn't make a loss

My new company is the same, although it's done in bands based on performance (1-5 with 3 being expected/normal performance).

My company does the equivalent of an extra weeks money and a bonus based on site performance in several areas.

My bonus this year will be around £800 before tax.
