I bought my card in the first week it was launched, I got my 3 free games via a silver and a bronze ticket and having now seen them offering BF4 on cards of lesser value i can't help but feel hard done by... i don't blame OcUK but part of me wants to get a refund.. silly i know, but if i had known that this offer was coming i certainly would have waited before buying instead of getting 3 games i didn't really want that are dated barring thief anyway... i came from being a Nvidia user to AMD this being my first AMD card and this offer has tarnished my purchase somewhat after being fairly pleased initially .. i kind of want to go back to Nvidia as they have never left me feeling i got short changed or getting my money back and buying a BF4 edition being the same price and all. Am i being unreasonable? lol should i take my 3 games and shut up? Am i being punished for being an early adopter?

I'm not looking for a fight so don't think that .. just venting a little i guess..
 
Sucks but thats the risks of being an early adopter im afraid. Lots of people are in the same boat however if its any help. I will say tho Nvidia charge their users extremely high premiums for their products and i dont always believe its warranted either.
 
I feel slightly miffed that I claimed my free games just before they added Thief to the package but that's just life.

How about sell the games you do get then get BF4 via the Origin Mexico store for half price and be happy.
 
no complaints about the actual card. Just wished i had known about this offer before buying.. i have always felt early adopters are the ones that should be given the best rewards for showing faith or loyalty enough to buy right away.


Whats DSR'd mean? sorry not familiar with that

Distance Selling Regulations. It's Consumer Protection simply. It gives you a statutory right to return a product (at your own expense might I add!) within 7 days. Some places like OcUK gives you an extra 7 days totalling 14 days.
 
Look on the bright side, imagine if you had purchased an FX9590 on release for £800 before AMD lowered the price to £250. :p

I knew i was probably paying a premium by buying early but of course i was unaware BF4 would be bundled so quickly after i bought.. usually a premium game is offered to increase sales initially not after they have been selling them like hot cakes as stated by the staff here. I'm not angry but more disappointed .. don't worry, I've learned my lesson ;) I'll buy last years GPU from now on :D

What's the exact date you bought it? If it was less than 14 days ago then yes you can.
 
So the OP buys a new GPU it comes with free games "I got my 3 free games" and now he is upset because there is a different game being offered.

This is very 'entitled' and a bit lame imho. There's always gonna be different offers around the corner, just be happy you can afford a top end card in the first place..

First world problems... Jeezus...
 
I am only upset that they started giving BF4 for free with all 290x and 290...

What was the point of 290x BF4 Edition then ??
Card cost was 290x+40 pounds so we paid for the game anyway. And now you get game for FREE.

Basically we paid for shiny box 40 pounds as card is not special in any way...

TBH as sad as it is I got BF4 edition only for e peen . Feels like my e peen is limp now :p
