Xbox Gamertag

Guys, i have a very old account (original account) which i completely forgot about which i want the gamertag from (Rybo89).

My account now with gold live and with all my friends on (Rybo89Lew05) is what i made recently. Any way to get this account to be Rybo89?

this is the current ballache i am trying to go through. you have to move your gamertag to a fresh live account then move the other one too it. Currently you cant do this on an XBOX one, you could on the 360

I think you'd have to change the old one away from that name then the new one to it once that's done. Don't quote me on it tho mate

Yes this, but like I said in my previous post there is currently no way of doing it on the Xbox one, if someone finds out. Please let me know

Could you not just do it from the Xbox website? Such as browsing to Xbox Live then clicking your name in the top right, edit profile, "Change Gametag" then change your original account, then take the name with the second?

That only changes the name. That won't associate another email address with the account.

Plus, I believe if you download a gamertag to your Xbox 360, you have to wait 30 days before you can change any of the info. Security measure.

Ill stay with the one i have now then.

Was hoping it was easy and free to do.

Odd one though, my gmail address goes to a account called 'MEKINuSITbiatch'. I would never make a silly gamertag like that. My guess is that someone has used my email address as the account has never been used and i had to do a password recovery to get into it. Odd one....
