I like some of the Baen sci-fi hardbacks where there is a CD of eBooks in the back of them for no extra cost which can then be loaded on to a Kindle using Calibre.

I tend to be buying about 6+ new ebooks a month at the moment.
Yup, I loved that (it was one of the main reasons I bought Baen hardbacks), things like effectively getting 20+ books for the price of hardback.
Although one of the reasons I'm not currently looking at a kindle to replace my 505 is that apparently in the newer models you cannot create a "collection" for books, you have to rely on Amazon doing it on books bought from them (so I can't load up the Honor Harrington series from Calibre and have them in a collection to make it easier to read them in order).
That and I just cannot stand the kindle interface as used on my brothers kindle keyboard, and my mum's more recent one (or the current models).
On the paperwhite, you can create collections.

Woah, you read loads! I like my books to be real and I like to put them on my bookshelf. Looks more impressive.
Do you have many leather-bound books?
Does your apartment smell of rich mahogany?
I recently bought the Hobbit and the LOTR triolgy when they were reduced significantly! (can't remember how much).
People pay money for ebooks ?!? ;0)

I've never paid more for a digital copy, it was the whole reason I got a kindle. It's basically paid for itself through the savings on not buying the paper books.

Most important, wtf book you buying for £25? Never saw anything ever approaching that price on kindle.
Depends if you buy new releases or not, because I don't I save hundreds buying my books second hand.
Yes, in the same way people pay money for music, movies and games. Nobody is particularly impressed if you choose not to.
