Im getting my PS4 tomorrow and was toying with the idea of keeping my ps3 but to be honest i cant see me using it as ill be bouncing between ps4, pc, vita and 3ds. The only upcoming game i was thinking of holding on to it for was dark souls 2 but i will now get that on pc

Anyone having similar thoughts?

If i do sell, i dont know what to value it at. I popped a thing in the price check section but seems to get overlooked and i assume i cant ask here?

I'll sell my 360 once I get a PS4. I won't be jumping between consoles. I know I'll be playing on my PS4 more so the 360 won't get much use and this is the reason I sold my PS3.

I don't sell my consoles however I can't imagine my 360 will get any use after I get the PS4 tomorrow.. I will still be using the PS3 for a while though with GT6 out in a week and Castlevania and Dark Souls II etc.

I have three 360's in my house so I expect to sell one. The PS3 gets used only as a blu ray player, so that has moved to the bedroom to make way for my Xbox One.

I hate the thought of selling a console and getting less than £50 for it though

All fair points, i know a few people that will use it in a bedroom as a netflix device etc

I just thought if i could get a good £200ish for some bits, i would buy an astro headset or something i would make use of

Does seems like hassle though lol

my PS3 will become the bedroom bluray player and for my daughter for Disney Infinity as she is getting a TV for her bedroom off Santa.

i kept my PS2 games with the intention of playing them again using the backwards compatibility but i only ever played a few hours on FFXII before going back to PS3 games.

Nope.

My PS3 is not upstairs acting as a DLNA streamer / Blu Ray for watching stuff in bed / playing games in bed.

The Xbone has taken the place of the PS3 in the lounge and I have made room for the PS4 once the games are launched I want to play.

Another reason to hold out was for the last of us story dlc but im quite happy with that as it was as an experiance

Hmm not sure. Also my vita, i have held on to it for ages just to try remote play at home and if it doesnt work as advertised in my home network, i may move it on as there is nothing inline for me on that system

Still looking forward to Lightning Returns and Dark Souls 2. My wife has asked me what I am going to do when I buy a PS4/XB1 and I really don't know. I think I want to keep them but will I ever touch them again? I hate selling stuff...but I might have to think about it this time.

My Dad's asked for the PS3 to put in the living room, fine by me as I'll be able to take it back again if I want to play a PS3 game :)

I have two PS3, Oringinal and the slim they are still a cracking bit of kit and is ideal for streaming media and the odd game for my SON.

I won't be selling my Playstation 3 purely because there isn't any disc-based backward compatibility in the Playstation 4 and I don't fancy hoping/relying on the streaming stuff to either be available any time soon or to actually be any good. I barely use my 360 as it is but I won't sell it, I'll just box it up and put it away in case I fancy playing on it in the future. One of the regrets I have is selling all my old consoles and then having massive urges to play on them a few years down the line. :(

No. I can't stomach selling it for the prices shops are offering. Lots of games for me to play on the hard drive of the 360 too. When I get my PS4, the PS3 will be used as a netflix/plauer upstairs.

Would have kept my ps3 and played it but it broke. :/ brought it back to life a few times. Cant see me using mt 360 again.
